In her role as the Vice President of Talent for Echelon, Cassie Fireman, is responsible for developing the organizational visions and strategies that will assist the organization in being a hospitality industry leader when the $4.8 billion dollar development opens its doors to the public on the Las Vegas Strip in late 2010. She is responsible for all traditional Human Resources functions, including recruitment, learning and development, labor and employee relations, communications, compensation and benefits and performance management. She also has the responsibility of developing, implementing and managing the enterprise wide Customer Service function, which has a strong analytics focus.
Prior to joining Echelon, she served as the Vice President of Talent for Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. In her role, she was responsible for the recruitment and on-boarding of a 5,000+ associate workforce for the first hotel/casino to open in the Atlantic City, New Jersey market in over 13 years. She was responsible for all facets of human resources or what is referred to as “Talent” at Borgata and had a strong emphasis in Talent Engagement in an effort to recruit and retain a workforce in a tight and competitive labor market.
A hospitality Human Resources professional by trade, Ms. Fireman began her career in Atlantic City, New Jersey at the then Merv Griffin’s Resorts International in the labor relations arena. Then in 1993, she moved to Las Vegas to assist with the opening of the MGM Grand as Employee Relations Manager. From there she moved on to open gaming facilities in Mississippi and Arizona before returning to Las Vegas and joining Boyd Gaming Corporation in 2000 as their Director of Human Resources for three of their Las Vegas facilities and Vacations Hawaii, their Hawaiian air charter service.
Ms. Fireman is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification.
