Nooruddin (Rudy) Karsan is the Chairman and CEO of Kenexa (www.kenexa.com), a leading provider of business solutions for human resources, which Karsan co-founded in 1987 and which went public in 2005. Mr. Karsan began his career as an actuary with Mercantile & General Insurance Company in Toronto after earning a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Waterloo. He earned the title of Fellow in the Society of Actuaries at the age of 25, and moved on to found Kenexa. He has been acclaimed for his entrepreneurial achievements by the Kauffman Foundation, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program, the Young Presidents’ Organization and the Aga Khan Economic Planning Board. Mr. Karsan has held several community leadership roles, including Chairman of Junior Achievement’s board of directors in the Delaware Valley and President of the Aga Khan Northeast Council for USA. He has recently co-authored a book, We: How to Increase Performance and Profits through Full Engagement.
Mr. Karsan attributes Kenexa’s success to aiming high and working toward goals with focus, vision and passion—the next goal being to make Kenexa a billion dollar organization by 2015. He attributes his personal success to the unconditional support of his family, which he considers his greatest achievement.
